Our Principles

Providence has been independently owned and operated since its foundation 20 years ago.

Our advice is always unbiased, and our investment decisions made purely in the best interest of the client. That’s what we are known for and it’s why our clients trust us.

There can be a conflict when providing advice and offering financial products in which the advisor may have a financial interest. To avoid this, we don’t create any products so you can be sure the advice you receive is always honest, professional and unbiased. We offer complete transparency and rebate all commissions received.

At Providence, we know your aspirations and needs are unique and complex, so we won’t offer a formulaic solution. Instead, we’ll take the time to fully understand your individual situation.

Before we recommend any investment strategies – which range from broad asset allocations through to individual security selection – we conduct an in-depth analysis. Through this, we come to know the purpose of your wealth and your priorities, whether they are income, security, aspiration, testamentary, philanthropy or simply fun. We seek to understand your life goals, relevant family dynamics and any existing financial structures.

We are committed to building long-term, trusted partnerships with our clients. We know this can only be achieved by providing both the performance you expect and the proactive, professional service you deserve.

Our committed team of relationship managers and industry experts, supported by a dedicated administration team, will work together to achieve the best possible result for you.

Structured for Quality

Unlike large corporate firms where clients’ affairs are managed by a single advisor, Providence operates as a high-performance, collaborative team. This way, clients benefit from our collective experience and advice.

We also accept only a select number of new clients to ensure our advice and relationship capabilities never dilute.

In this video, Managing Director and Founder, Grant Patterson and Director Michael Ogg reflect on Providence’s success, its independence, and its boutique approach to client relationships. Providence’s first client, Tony Murphy, also speaks about his journey with the Providence team.
