Not for Profit Expertise
Providence believes the best portfolio outcomes are achieved when a clear understanding of the objectives is attained, but as important to these objectives are the drivers behind them.
At Providence we work with the Foundation’s Investment Committee or Board to ensure we have a complete understanding of the objectives and requirements of the Corpus. Once we have a clear understanding of these parameters, we can work with the board to translate this into a robust Investment Policy encompassing: a statement of objectives, investment philosophy, structure and management, performance evaluation and monitoring and control.
Where a client requires assistance in reviewing or formulating an Investment Policy, we provide this service free of charge and have deep experience in working with foundations in this capacity. The process of working with a Board to develop an Investment Policy can be highly beneficial in constructing a deep understanding of implicit and explicit hurdles and desired outcomes.
We ensure that the investment policy is fit for purpose, providing practical input as to the realities of current markets and, as we are independent, we do not rely on any one source or thinking – we review data and models from a range of industry participants and bring this unbiased perspective to our clients.
